Writing Timeline
My first artifact that I chose was my writing timeline. It was one of the first assignments we did in class and it seemed to be a good starting point.
I chose this artifact because it was the first time I had really thought about my writing history. It was interesting for me to se it written out in a timeline format and how my thoughts on writing progressed. I think it says that I am a learner that likes things to be written out and organized. If it is organized in a good way I can learn it better.
This learning activity was significant to me because it was the first time I evaluated the history of my writing. I think it was important for me to look back at how my feelings of writing changed over time because it showed what I liked and didn't like about writing. I had never really thought about my feelings for writing changing and what influenced those changes but this activity made me do so.
This knowledge will influence me as a future teacher because then I can make sure not to have biases in how I teach writing. I can also think about the reasons, at points in time, I had a dislike for writing and try and avoid those situations in my own classroom.
